Today's outlook keeps the heat going in the south and Chuy valley — Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad all sit in the low-to-mid +30s through Friday — while a wetter, cooler pattern is already settling over Issyk-Kul and Naryn. A broader storm system then sweeps the whole country this weekend, before skies clear and nights turn noticeably cooler to close out the month.

Heat Holds Through Friday

Bishkek reaches +33°C both today and Friday, with Osh running hottest at +35°C today and +34°C Friday, and Jalal-Abad close behind at +34°C both days. Skies stay mostly dry across the south and Chuy valley through Friday, with only a slim chance of a passing shower.

Issyk-Kul and Naryn Already Turning Wet

The eastern half of the country is on a different track. Karakol sees rain showers today with temperatures held to just +21°C, and Naryn is unsettled too, with a daytime high of only +25°C and a real chance of drizzle. Both regions stay cooler and wetter through the week while the rest of the country bakes.

Storms Sweep the Whole Country This Weekend

The pattern currently confined to the east spreads countrywide by Saturday and Sunday. Bishkek's rain chance jumps to around 95% on Saturday, Osh and Jalal-Abad both see a 60-80% chance of showers, and Karakol is forecast a thunderstorm on Sunday with highs dropping to just +16°C — a sharp swing from this week's heat. Daytime highs ease everywhere over the weekend, with Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad all slipping into the high +20s.

Cooler, Clearer Skies to Close Out August

Once the storms clear on Monday, drier weather returns for the rest of the week. Bishkek's overnight lows keep falling too, dropping to around +13°C by Wednesday — several degrees cooler than the mid-to-high teens typical of most of August — an early hint that autumn isn't far off.
