Kyrgyzhydromet's forecast for today calls for scattered light rain in the Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions, while the rest of the country stays dry under continued summer heat. Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken hold at a scorching +38°C, with Bishkek not far behind at +36°C.

Light Rain Confined to the East

Unlike the wider storm activity seen earlier this week, today's rain is limited to isolated light showers in Issyk-Kul and Naryn regions, mainly in the mountain zones. Forecasters say the moisture should help ease dry soil conditions in the high pastures without disrupting travel on the main roads.

South and Chuy Stay Hot and Dry

Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken remain the hottest part of the country at up to +38°C, while Chuy region is close behind at +37°C with a notably warm overnight low of +27°C. Talas also warms up today, reaching +36°C after a much cooler +13°C night.

Naryn and Issyk-Kul Stay Coolest

Naryn remains the coolest region at +28°C after an overnight low of just +8°C, while Issyk-Kul is similar at +26°C.
