Storm Risk Concentrated in the Foothills
Forecasters say the thunderstorm threat is greatest in the foothill and mountain zones of Chuy, Talas, Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken, where rising heat combined with mountain airflow tends to trigger sharp afternoon storm cells. Bishkek itself stays mostly dry but hot, with a high near +37°C after an overnight low of +20°C.
South Stays in Extreme Heat
Despite the unsettled weather up north, the southern lowlands see no real break from the heat. Osh, Jalal-Abad and Batken all hold at +38°C to +39°C during the day, with warm nights around +20°C offering little relief before the next hot afternoon.
Coolest Air Stays in the Mountains
Naryn remains the coolest region by a wide margin, with a daytime high of only +26°C after a chilly +8°C night. Issyk-Kul is a bit milder at +29°C, while Talas sits in the middle at +34°C.
